Can he answer questions about what he believes? It is not uncommon for churches to ignore the doctrinal statement that a prospective candidate submits. A quick look is often what it receives, especially if he is already a friend of someone in the church. Rarely is a pastor seriously quizzed about what he believes when he visits the prospective church.
It is possible that his people enjoyed his messages, but it is clear that he must have been as spiritually dry Figura a dead blade of grass. When a preacher or teacher is not constantly sharing new things from scripture, it is clear that he is not spiritually growing himself. If he is spending large amounts of time in scripture, will it not be obvious?
In God’s plan for the church there are overseers and deacons. But who is an overseer, elder and who is a deacon?
Today, too many kindhearted but misdirected churches and seminaries allow men to become pastors who should not be in the ministry. Many pastors are spiritually immature even though they completed their seminary training and they have a poor grasp of Scripture. They know the systematic theology taught by the seminary they attended, but they cannot and do not know all of the Bible. It is impossible in a three year seminary course of study to have been taught all sixty six books of the Bible in depth.
By the manner in which he teaches, he will help his people learn how to study the Bible too! Down through history the famous Bible teachers did this. It is their commentaries that are sold in the Christian book stores today. They have impacted the world because they were committed to making sure that the people were not destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).
Those who will know the least will be the church members, unless one of the spouses is gossiping. This means that the congregation will not know everything and they will probably not know the most sensitive details.
Con el establecimiento de las parroquias, los obispos se liberaron de muchas de sus tareas originales y se dedicaron a asuntos más importantes de la diócesis y a su supervisión.
I am committed to love and sound doctrine. Our Lord Jesus was committed to loving and teaching people. He healed, fed and taught about God the Father. Therefore, at this website we seek to provide spiritual milk for those who need it, and also spiritual meat or solid food so that you may grow spiritually. Both are essential for spiritual growth. I am committed to glorifying God and discipleship (Matthew 20:18-20). We urge every believer to discover their spiritual gifts and then use that gift to fulfill God’s will for their life.
Titus 1:9 says that a pastor must hold to the “faithful word” – the Word of God. It is not enough for the Call Committee to read the doctrinal statement that he submitted when he applied for the position. How much of the Bible does he really know? If he is a recent seminary graduate, he should have a good grasp of scripture; but if he has been trasnochado of seminary for some time his grasp of scripture might be poor if he does not spend very much time studying it.
Then follow the process. If the pastor refuses to correct his error or the leadership refuses to address the issue and you still believe that the pastor is in sin after all of the discussion, then it is time to leave. It is time to leave because the leadership has failed to act. May the Lord bless you.
Third, most young men are idealistic in their thinking, and the tempering of time has not yet occurred. Some men, young and old, like a good fight. Merienda they are convinced how things should be done, they are willing to fight with others in order to win.
Any meeting should include the current elders and the elders who left. If the elders refuse to meet with congregants in one of the above scenarios, then the elders’ spiritual qualifications are in doubt and they should possibly step down from office. Additionally, if the pastor was the decision maker in refusing to meet with congregants, then the pastor is like Diotrephes (3 John 9-10). If the current leadership refuses, then the concerned members should feel the freedom to leave the church.
We miss the point that God rejected Moses because he hit the rock in Numbers 20 rather than speaking to the rock. Today, we think what was the big deal?
